Resort Review: Disney’s BoardWalk Inn

Stay at this fun, Atlantic City inspired waterfront resort. Complete with a carnival themed pool, there is so much to see and do at this property. 

The Boardwalk itself is complete with tons of restaurants, bars and entertainment nightly – you never know what street performers you might come across! This family friendly spot is great for all ages and offers villas to accommodate larger groups.

 

What We Like

The Epcot Resort Area is a great location – you can walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios (or take the boat). Buses run everywhere else. Having the ability to walk to not just one, but TWO parks is huge, and something we take advantage of when we’re staying in this area.

Another perk of this location is the Boardwalk itself. There is so much to do – there are great restaurants and bars, and it’s a good mix of adult and kid friendly activity. The nightlife is great busting here, especially with Jellyrolls, the popular dueling piano bar. It’s worth a stop on your next visit without the kids! 

The rooms themselves are great, and this resort offers villas if you’re traveling with a bigger group or maybe just want some more space (and a kitchen, washer and dryer!).

My husband and I stayed in a studio villa and had a great location AND view. This was by far one of the best rooms I’ve ever had in my years of visiting Disney. We were right off the lobby (so close to the buses), and we also overlooked the front courtyard facing the Boardwalk and water (just beautiful!). 

Things to Note

The nightlife is different at this resort (with the bars on the Boardwalk) – it can be a little busy and loud, especially on the weekends. So if you have young kids, request a room not overlooking the main courtyard and Boardwalk itself for some quiet!

When should you consider staying at the BoardWalk Inn?

If you know you’re going to be at Epcot a lot on your trip (if it’s the Flower & Garden or Food & Wine Festival, etc.), this is a great option for you! Being able to walk to/from Epcot in less than 10 minutes is a game changer at Disney. We like to spend our evenings at Epcot visiting World Showcase, so being a quick walk home at the end of a long day is great.

Sorcerer Radio

A few years ago I stumbled across Sorcerer Radio, and it was a complete game-changer for me. All Disney music, all day long?! Yes please. They play all of the park and resort music, full ride-throughs of every attraction, AND all of the parades, shows and fireworks soundtracks – from past and present! They also have some great shows with a variety of Disney experts (love the WDW Tiki Room!). It’s the perfect background music during the workday on your computer or app, and now you can play it on Alexa when you get home! Check them out here 🙂

WDW Today Channel App

This was a recent discovery for me but I knew this would quickly become an at-home Disney staple. There’s an app called WDW Today Channel that streams the same in-room channel when you’re staying at a Walt Disney World resort! It’s a new part of my morning routine and I love it – I pull it up on my iPad and have it propped up while I get ready for work. It’s so fun seeing the park times and hearing the music every morning 🙂 Download it here!

WDW Magazine

I just got my first print edition of WDW Magazine and couldn’t be happier! I love their online stuff, but getting the beautiful print version in the mail was even more magical. They do a great job of finding unique topics and angles, and the photography is unbelievable. They have different subscription options (I get it monthly), so be sure to check it out here!

Magic Candle Company

Helpful tip: make sure to pack your mug in a carry on – I had my last mug break in my checked suitcase (even though it was all bundled and packed up!).

Product Review: Magic Candle Company

Scent: “Banshee Flight”

If you’ve been lucky enough to ride Flight of Passage (and not wait 180 minutes), then you’ve experienced one of the best rides Disney World has to offer.

Everything about Pandora’s Flight of Passage is magical – the sites (have you seen the floating mountains?!), the sounds (love the soundtrack!), and the smells (take a deep breath when you’re on the ride – it’s so good!). All three together create an unmatchable experience and transport you to Avatar’s world of Pandora.

Magic Candle Company has done it again! They’ve captured the magic of Flight of Passage and created the scent “Banshee Flight.” I LOVE the candle – if you close your eyes, you feel as if you’re on the back of a banshee flying through Pandora!
