Make Your Magic Band Even MORE Magical

Featured Etsy Shop: Shop EmilyG

Magic Bands are a Walt Disney World staple. They do EVERYTHING for your vacation – get you into the parks, unlock your hotel room, pay for your meals, pay for your merchandise…the list goes on and on.

You need it on your wrist at all times during your WDW vacation, so why not spice it up a bit and put your own Disney touch on it?! That’s where Shop EmilyG comes in. She has created fun, affordable decor for your Magic Band: decals that cover the entire band.

There are so many awesome patterns to choose from – everything from the monorail to Cinderella castle to holiday patterns to Star Wars to your favorite Disney movie characters! Some of them even glow in the dark, which is awesome for a night at the parks. They’re so easy to apply to your band and stay on securely the entire trip (in the rain and all, in our case!).

We got a ton of compliments from cast members and guests during our weekend. These bands are super cute, and a fraction of the cost from the ones sold at Disney Parks.

Check out Emily’s shop on Etsy and grab your decals before your next WDW vacation!

Disney Must Do: Matching Shirts

Featured Etsy Shop: The Mouse Boutique

It’s okay to wear matching shirts in Walt Disney World. Actually, it’s highly encouraged!

For those of you who have been to WDW, you’ve probably noticed the startling amount of families and groups wearing matching shirts around the parks and resorts (some families even start on the plane ride to Orlando). It seems that every year we go there are more and more people that wear them, and they get more clever too!

Mary’s Magical 21st Birthday shirts

My family has worn matching shirts for years, but our shirt selection has evolved. Initially, we started by making custom t-shirts for celebrations (“Mary’s Sweet 16,” “Mary’s 21st,” etc. – her birthday is in August when we always go to WDW, so she’s had a lot of birthdays there!). Then, we moved into purchasing actual Disney shirts, and we would all get the same one (Disney usually offers men/women versions of the same shirt).

Now, we’ve stepped up our game. Ben and I went to our very first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and had the cutest shirts ever from The Mouse Boutique (see the pic above). This Etsy shop has TONS of character and seasonal options, and one is just better than the next.

They have everything from Star Wars to Frozen to the Lion King to Epcot Drinks Around the World to the Hitchhiking Ghosts to the Disney Cruise Line. They have shirts for every size group for every type of event, and they’ll customize them just for you! The shop owner, Michele, is wonderful to work with and is always coming up with new, clever ideas.

If you haven’t been to WDW and are planning a trip there, this is a Disney Must Do. It’s a fun way to get your family excited for your magical vacation and even more fun to wear them in the parks. And as a bonus, it helps keep track of everyone in your group in the crowds!

Product Review: Little Treasure Packs

Trendy handmade fanny packs for kids and adults

1995.

When I was a little girl, the first fanny pack I ever owned was a Minnie Mouse one and I LOVED it. It looked like Minnie was giving me a hug when I wore it. That was the last time I wore a fanny pack…

Until 2018.

Flash forward to summer 2018. My mom, sisters and I stumbled across this adorable Etsy shop called Little Treasure Packs. We were looking for cute, matching Disney apparel for our upcoming trip to the Happiest Place on Earth.

The fanny packs we found in the Little Treasure Packs’ Etsy shop were the cutest fanny packs I’d seen since my Minnie Mouse days. There were tons of different Disney-inspired patterns – everything from Moana to Toy Story to Star Wars to Mickey Ear Hats. One was just better than the next!

We finally settled on the Classic Mickey Mouse ones and ordered four so we could match on our vacation (we’re a big matching t-shirt family when we’re in WDW, but this was taking the matching to a new level). My sisters and I proudly wore our new fanny packs to the parks, and I’ve got to say they were not only quite the fashion statement, but an incredibly practical purchase.

I loved not having a purse in the parks. I didn’t have to sling it on and off for rides or pictures – the fanny pack stayed on easily and was super comfy to wear. Not to mention we got a ton of compliments from other guests and cast members!

Fanny packs are IN right now, so why not make it a Disney-inspired one? Click the link below to check out the Little Treasure Pack shop on Etsy.
